The Broward County Healthcare Coalition is a collaborative network of healthcare providers, emergency management teams, public health organizations, and other healthcare providers focused on strengthening emergency preparedness and response within the region.

Membership is open to a variety of organizations, including acute care hospitals, long-term care providers, EMS, public health agencies, emergency management, and other healthcare-related entities within Broward County.

Members gain access to a wealth of resources, including training opportunities, emergency preparedness tools, donated equipment, and collaborative exercises. The coalition also provides a platform for networking and sharing best practices to improve emergency response capabilities.

The coalition works to improve community resilience by offering resources, conducting training and exercises, and ensuring coordinated responses to disasters. Through projects and other grants, the coalition also offers an opportunity to receive critical equipment and supplies to help them better serve the community in times of need.

Interested organizations can apply for membership by completing the Application for Membership form through the website or by reaching out to the BCHC Staff. Our membership process involves an evaluation of the organization’s mission and commitment to the goals of the coalition.

While membership is required for full participation in coalition activities, non-members may be invited to participate in certain public events, workshops, and training sessions depending on the event’s scope.

The coalition undertakes a wide variety of projects, including emergency preparedness training, resource-sharing initiatives, large-scale exercises, and based on funding availability, provide opportunities to receive supplies and equipment to members. These efforts help enhance the community’s overall healthcare resilience.

The coalition receives funding through federal and state grants and sponsorships.These resources are used to support its mission of improving emergency preparedness and response.

Organizations can contribute by becoming members, participating in training and exercises, offering expertise, or donating resources such as equipment, supplies, or volunteer support.
